Overview

"There had been talk of monsters around the small, quiet town of Fort Whipple for some time before the evening of the brutal massacre. First it was the livestock. Dead, shriveled bodies lined the fields, drained of their blood. But when human bodies begin falling from the sky, a dark protector of sorts is dispatched to minimize the casualties. ""Dark, gritty, and an ending that will leave you shook. Justin Woodward has arrived in the old west to rip out your heart and stomp on it.""- RJ Roles, author of Pieces of Me"

Reviews

"""Candy is a fast paced, bloody tale that mixes in a generous helping of dark humor. The main character captured our horror-loving hearts: she's morbid, hilarious and tells it like it is. Woodward's writing is stellar and original. We can't wait to see what he comes up with next."" --Michelle Garza and Melissa Lason, authors of Mayan Blue, Those Who Follow and Kingdom of Teeth ""Dark, gritty, and an ending that will leave you shook. Justin Woodward has arrived in the old west to rip out your heart and stomp on it."" ---RJ Roles, author of Pieces of Me, on Here Comes the Sun ""Dark, twisted, and full of surprises."" --Duncan Ralston, author of Woom and Ghostland ""I had to read through my fingers. . . it was that scary for me."" --Scream Magazine ""I have read almost all of the Splatter western's at this point...This is the best one yet. Woodward drops the reader in the middle of the story and yet provides exposition without feeling like it's obvious was impressive. From the depth of all the characters to the world building itself, DHP (Death's Head Press) has a surprise winner on their hands."" --https: //www.uncomfortablydark.com ""Justin M. Woodward isn't playing around--this is a terrifying descent into depravity."" --Jeff Strand, author of Sick House and Pressure ""Mother Horror"" --Sadie Hartmann"
