Author Information

The poems of Melbourne-based writer Damian Balassone have appeared in numerous Australian and international publications. His published collections of short stories and poems include Strange Game in a Strange Land and Love is a Weird Cat. Here, Bear and Everywhere is Damian's debut children's picture book. Jess Racklyeft is a Melbourne-based illustrator of vibrant, award-winning children's books. Her work includes 2022 CBCA Picture Book of Year Award winner Iceberg, and 2017 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award winner Smile Cry. Jess' illustrations, created with an eclectic mix of traditional and digital techniques, also grace greeting cards, prints and pins.
