Here and Now: Living in the Spirit

Overview

Henri Nouwen notes, It is hard to live in the present. The past and the future keep harassing us. He reminds us that Jesus came to wipe away the burden of the past as well as any worries of the future. With Nouwen as our exceptional guide, we realize that the Spirit of God is ever with us, gracing us in the many places of our everyday lives. We notice small miracles that reflect the divine mystery permeating our world. This audiobook describes the hardships and harmony of prayer, forgiveness and gratitude, competition and compassion, and the ongoing process of conversion through our loving--or perhaps, not so loving--encounters with friends and family. Nouwen says his insights are an expression of his own spiritual journey and a way of sharing about God's love in his life. He hopes that these insights lead us to discover that we are God's beloved and that--even in the midst of life's stress, grief or suffering--we can find joy.
