In her debut chapbook, H. Salt uses poetry and prose to lead the reader through the darkest period of her life. Hemlocks, like a simple thought, initially come across as innocent pieces of nature. All too often, one does not realize the quiet, poisonous temperment of these until it is too late to prevent toxicity from overtaking them. Hemlock Fields is an exploration of where the mind meets the world and the imaginings which may result from a less than stellar perspective.

H. Salt is a 23 year old writer and poet living in Maine; her primary sources of inspiration are her dreams and nature. She is currently working on her second poetry anthology and a collection of short stories.
