Peggy Santmyer obtained her Texas real estate sales license in 1969 and the real estate broker's license in 1971. She has stayed connected to the real estate industry for over 40 years. She has actively listed and sold property, managed foreclosure properties, worked in several mortgage loan servicing departments for Dallas Federal Savings and Loan, in Dallas, Texas, and in 1991 started teaching real estate classes. Peggy has taught continuing education classes for real estate brokers and salespeople as well as teaching pre-licensing classes for beginning agents. She has taught legal issues, pricing property, contracts and marketing classes among others Frustrated with the lack of good teaching material Peggy authored a series of mandatory continuing education classes (MCE) that meet the educational requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission to renew a Texas broker or salespersons license. She is also the author of two real estate text books appropriate for 30 hour pre-licensing classes. Both the Texas Real Estate Promulgated Forms book and the Real Estate Marketing for the 21st Century and excellent reading for licensees. Peggy is also a member of the National, Texas and MetroTex Associations of REALTORS.(R) She has served on the Professional Standards Committee and the Education Committee for the Texas Association of REALTORS(R).
