OverviewRodney Price and Fernando Torres, wanted for slayings and kidnappings throughout the South, are holding their next three victims. It is to be the perfect crime that could promise them easy money and another get-away. But something goes wrong. One of the hostages becomes a HELL HOSTAGE. In 2005, Rodney Price is a born-again Christian prison inmate telling the story of his last 1994 kidnapping to a reporter. He remembers himself as a cold killer and kidnapper whose sole purpose was to gain at anyone's expense and leave no traces of evidence. But during a deviously planned endeavor to profit from holding three captives, he stumbles into a life-changing experience as he finds himself trapped in the world of a psychotic hostage, who is convinced that he is her defiant husband, Langley, and that he deserves brutal beatings, tongue-lashes, and strict household duties. In 1994, the year when she is obliviously held hostage by these two strangers, EmmaJean MacNeal is the intended third victim in this last kidnapping. But she adamantly tears through her gag and binding ropes with the sudden deranged anger of a betrayed wife. All she wants is a normal and peaceful family life with Langley and their two children (the other two hostages). The only problem: In her mentally clouded mind, Langley (actually Rodney Price trying desperately to hold her hostage) will not cooperate and be the good husband that she is convinced that he is supposed to be. The only way that she knows how to retaliate against his physically violent attempts on her (perceived in her mind to be domestic violence) is to fight him with passion and force him to do the household chores as a lesson. But she does all of thiswith a wife's broken heart. Fernando finds himself renamed Otis Banks, who is recognized by EmmaJean as Langley's badly influential friend. Along with Rodney, Fernando finds himself trapped in circumstances that are virtually impossible to escape. Tammy and Louis Goldsmith, the other hostages, gratefully play their roles as EmmaJean's and Langley's children. EmmaJean, who is convinced that they are 12 and 13 year-olds, unknowingly proves herself to be their hero.
