Dr. Hedwig Gorski (born July 18, 1949, Trenton, New Jersey) is an American performance poet and an avant-garde artist who labels her aesthetic as American Futurism. She is a first-generation Polish-American, the first in her family born in the United States, who is both an academic scholar and popular writer. The poet has characterized her life as that of a Slavic nomad due to a family history of displacement along with her own penchant for traveling.
