Overview

Chief Inspector Werner Lorentz has solved all manner of serious crimes during his career with the German Federal Criminal Police, until the moment three bodies are discovered... On each one, a snapshot photograph depicting the victim shortly after their death. On the back of each photo, a number handwritten by the killer. On the 29-year-old mother, the number 108; on her 4-year-old daughter, 109; and on her 5-month-old son, 110! Scattered around them on the floor are 28 photographs of people who lost their lives over the past four years in various parts of the country. All numbered in no apparent logical order.
