Overview

How will America respond after a devastating terrorist attack striking America's heartland? During the July Fourth holiday, dozens of American citizens are killed and many more injured after a car bomb is detonated outside the Harley Davidson Museum. A veteran FBI Agent who captured one of the terrorists, Fred Jones, is teamed with a young CIA Analyst, Sophia Evans, and the pair are tasked with hunting down the man responsible. Amell al-Gahrsi, the leader of a terrorist cell known as the Abyan Islamic Army (AIA), has claimed responsibility for the attack. His stated mission in life is to bring terror to the West. Promising future attacks will unfold. The thrown-together pair must now race against the clock to stop the AIA and Amell from carrying out his promised mission. All the while overcoming their own personal issues in the process. Sophia's hidden bout with PTSD from a previous mission that went awry. To Fred's not wanting to retire because it would mean giving up his desire to be a father figure, as he and his wife Sherry were unable to have children. As the duo uncovers the trail leading to the terrorist's home base, surviving a harrowing car/foot chase through the city streets of Orlando to a daring island incursion, culminating in a firefight in downtown Washington D.C. They discover the real danger to the country may lurk closer to home than either of them are prepared to admit.

Author Information

"Born in Anaheim, California, Michael didn't grow up dreaming of being a writer. Instead, he had a very different idea for his life. After watching the events of the 9/11 disaster unfold, he wanted to serve his country and defend its ideals and beliefs. And so he did. Enlisting to serve in the U.S. Army. An adventure that would send him all the way to the Afghan desert and back.Completing his tour of duty and returning home, he set his eyes on further serving his country as an FBI Agent. However, circumstances changed due to an injury, leaving him looking for something else to put his heart and soul into. After trying several different career paths, none of which sparked that emotion, he once had to serve his country. All he wanted to do was find a career that let him enjoy life. Mark Twain once said, ""Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.""The one thing Michael had always enjoyed in life was having an active imagination. Growing up as an only child required one. He always had a story to tell. Some new adventure to go on.Deciding one day, it was time to put some of those stories to paper. Thus, a new career path began to take shape after writing several short stories. He decided to begin work on a full-length feature book, then another.Using some of his experiences gained throughout life to help bring a sense of realism to his writing. He hopes that his stories will entertain people for years to come."
