He was born in the beautiful Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall in England. As a boy he lived on a farm where the horses where expected to do many jobs; the main one being hauling seaweed off the beaches to fertilise the fields. Martin arrived in Australia, newly married, and set about establishing a family. He didn't lose sight of his love for horses though, exercising racehorses and providing a home for them once they retired. Moving to a larger property in the 1980s he then expanded his own herd and they serve as his laboratory for developing his understanding of how horses operate. During the 1990s Martin was prompted to start a journey which has resulted in him developing the concept and applying the principle that will establish an excellent relationship between the horse and human based on the idea of working with the horse's emotion to connect with their minds. Martin has been working with horses on a professional basis for the past 15 years and continues to learn from and admire them for the foreseeable future.
