Farm your heart. Heart Pasture is a collection of Christian-based spoken word poems with its basis focusing on the heart condition that Christians should continually strive for. I believe that taking up your cross and dying to self is a constant and daily challenge. We are continuously evolving in Christ. Heart Pasture is a reminder to its readers to never lose focus on what we feed our hearts. The things we take in are the things our souls feed on. The soul grazes on what the heart grows.

MICHAEL G. TOPPING was born in the Hollis section of Queens, New York, in 1984. He is the 12th of 13 children born to his mother, Joyce E. Holmes. He was raised in Central Islip, Long Island, where he graduated from Central Islip High School in 2002. He subsequently went on to study law at Suffolk Community College and was sworn in to the New York City Police Department in 2007.Michael began writing at the age of 7, won his first poetry contest at 13, and has performed his works at various venues. He has competed in many poetry slams over the years. Michael is finally utilizing his God-given gift of writing for the Kingdom.
