Overview

Twins are separated during infancy following a botched kidnapping in a North Korean harbor. With their father critically wounded and no one at the rudder, the family is helplessly lost at sea. With no fresh food or water, their dilapidated fishing boat drifts aimlessly in the currents as they flee the would-be kidnappers. Weeks later their boat finally crashes into a stormy reef, sinking into the channel off Molokai. Rescued by passing fishermen, one boy grows up as the adopted son of Rusty Winters, a 5-0 cop, while the other is raised as the illegitimate son of a notorious North Korean drug and arms dealer. As if it were their destiny, the sibling's lives eventually clash, each finding themselves on opposite sides of the law. The adopted son of a Hawaii Detective knows not why someone tried to murder him, nor has he any recollection of his past following a near fatal experience at the hands of his long forgotten twin brother due to the bullet fragment still lodged in his temple. Homeless and wandering the back alleys of the San Francisco harbor, Teddy Winters follows his fragmented memories and with a little help from a fellow vagrant and the earthbound spirit of the long dead musician Johnny Starr, Teddy tries to find out where he came from and who he is? Meanwhile his girlfriend and his father also fall prey to the ruthless double-ganger's wrath. As his forgotten past slowly unfolds, Teddy is unaware that his lover's heart now beats in another woman but yet, Teddy is somehow drawn to her by fate.
