Overview

In a postapocalyptic future, a human girl and an android travel the world in search of a mythical utopia to protect those they love. Nearly 200 years after the destruction of humanity in World War III, Roue lives a happy life exploring the ruins of civilization with her “uncle,” a robot named Zett. But when their peaceful life is threatened, Roue must trust the mysterious robot Chrome to bring her family together again. Roue, Chrome, and Rock receive an unexpectedly warm welcome in Heaven Land. When Roue asks if Zett can be revived, D and R agree, but on the condition that she sit down for a one-on-one conversation with each of them first. It’s then that Roue learns the truth about the war 200 years ago and of the two plans humans entrusted to D and R in their final days. After tirelessly fighting their way across the wastelands for so long, Roue and Chrome’s journey finally comes to an end in this captivating conclusion.

Tsuyoshi Takaki published his first one-shot, “Freaks,” in Jump SQ Crown in Japan in 2016, and later that same year created the series Black Torch, available in North America from VIZ Media. His next series, Heart Gear, began serialization on Shonen Jump+ in 2019.
