For years, Marla Kennedy worked as a stay-at-home mom of five children who enjoyed every minute spent playing outside with her kids, no matter the weather. She loved having them help her prepare meals in the kitchen, walking the aisles of the grocery store with all of them, and reading books to them--or listening to them read to her. Marla always wanted to write a children's book that parents could read to their children or young readers could read independently, and she is happy to be fulfilling that dream by publishing Healthy Me. Before raising her children, Marla was a teacher, but after returning to work once her children were grown, she made a career change to become a personal trainer for women. Her experience as a teacher and trainer inspired Healthy Me, as Marla knows teaching children healthy habits at a young age is so important. Most of all, Marla hopes to encourage others to always follow their dreams because it's never too late to start something new.
