I wanted to lose weight, but not that bad at that time. After finally deciding to purchase and read the Paleo Salad book by Elena Garcia, I was saying to myself, where have you been all my life! This book carries a punch when it comes to breaking down the recipes of a Paleo diet in easy to understand steps, with ingredients that are accessible from our local grocery. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to completely go vegetarian, as this book was able to offer creative and delicious recipes with veggies, meat, bacon, tuna and salmon, and even fruit without having to stray away from the principle of the Paleo diet. There is even a helpful calorie per serving information at the end of each recipe that I found very encouraging in keeping my daily calories in check.
