Author Information

Desiree Leigh Thompson is a personal leadership and life coach specializing in mental and emotional wellness who believes passionately in the importance of letting go of pain and living more fully while creating a better relationship with self and others. She encourages women to heal from past traumas thus liberating themselves and gaining peace of mind. Desiree had a difficult upbringing, experiencing chronic childhood abuse, teenage sexual assaults, and intimate partner violence. The abuse followed her for many decades impacting her way of living and being. These experiences and her work as a life coach inspired her to write Healing Worthlessness, her first publication. Desiree is a life-long learner and has been educated in the fields of psychology, spirituality, metaphysics, yoga, and nursing. She is currently in graduate studies continuing her research about childhood abuse, bullying, domestic violence, and how violence affects ones health and wellbeing. She resides in the Vancouver area and has three adult sons.
