An Invitation to Come HOME to Yourself After Trauma This book, Healing Outreach to Men Everywhere, is an invitation to incarcerated men to heal from trauma even behind bars, and by doing so, come HOME to themselves and HOME to a community of other men who are healing from trauma. H.O.M.E. is a highly accessible interactive book written to and for incarcerated men whose life trauma has included sexual assault. The aim of the book is to make clear generally overlooked facts about the harmful and often long-lasting impact of sexual violation on boys and men and dispel the myths that often accompany perceptions of male survivors. Written by trauma experts and survivors alike, it includes guides for recovery through proven strategies for coping with the impact of traumatic experiences. It includes instructional videos that teach methods to settle in the body and mind to support clearer and more useful decisions in everyday life. H.O.M.E. inspires hope for healing through videos of men talking about their journey of recovery, and includes original songs written and performed by fellow survivors. It also provides information and insight into one's rights through the Prison Rape Elimination Act when sexual violence occurs behind bars.

Sandra Forti is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Columbus, Ohio who has been working with male and female survivors of sexual assault for most of her career. In addition to the study of psychology, she has extensive training in the relationship between the mind and body, and sees somatic awareness to be essential to psychological well-being. Dr. Forti has been a member of the MenHealing facilitator team since 2006 and has been a witness to the successful healing journeys of countless men and women who have experienced sexual harm. The H.O.M.E. Project has been an opportunity to inspire hope and create self-compassion for incarcerated men who have not had the chance to understand their own story through the lens of trauma. Jordan Masciangelo is an advocate, storyteller, and creative professional with over 15 years of experience supporting male survivors of human trafficking and sexual violence. Originally from Ontario, Canada, and now based in South Florida, his work-shaped by his own experiences as a survivor-focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by male survivors, exploring the intersections of trauma, masculinity, and the male experience. As Creative Director at MenHealing, Jordan leads innovative initiatives to foster healing, raise awareness, and equip other advocates and survivors with trauma-informed tools, striving to create meaningful, compassionate change.
