OverviewIn a world plagued by chronic disease and mental anguish, this book aims to equip medical professionals and patients to win the unseen war for their minds, releasing guilt, unforgiveness, and pride through the power of spiritual warfare. Satan is alive and well in the halls of our clinics and hospitals, our exam rooms, our communities, and our homes. Pills and treatment protocols are not successful for this type of problem. We need another solution.Healthcare professionals can leverage the power of patients' faith and truth to help them become free. This book is for both healthcare professionals and patients, providing key strategies for spiritual warfare and practical chapters on anxiety, depression, healthy eating, exercise, and healthcare burnout. What Others Say About This Book: In Healing Faith, Dr. Janet Hurley offers a rare and needed gift to the healthcare community-an honest, theologically grounded exploration of spiritual warfare woven thoughtfully into the realities of modern medical practice. With clinical clarity and pastoral compassion, she illuminates how faith and science are not competitors but complementary tools for helping patients find wholeness. Her stories resonate deeply with anyone who has wrestled with complex behavioral health challenges and sensed that something more was at play. As a missionary doctor in Kenya for twenty years, I found the topic of demonic influence on patients' behavioral health status much easier to address. This book will encourage Christian clinicians to pursue excellent medicine while recognizing the profound spiritual dimensions of human suffering and healing.─Michael E. Chupp, MD, FACS, CEO, Christian Medical & Dental AssociationsI wasn't sure what to expect when I began reading Dr. Hurley's book. It didn't take long, however, to realize that she is addressing something rarely discussed-spiritual warfare. Her use of personal experiences brings the subject to life in a compelling and relatable way.Dr. Hurley does an excellent job of honestly examining the reality that medicine is not always the complete answer. Too often, the medical profession pushes treatments into a ""this pill will fix it"" box. She highlights how the possibility of a spiritual attack or influence on a person's health is frequently dismissed altogether.Having lived with a depression diagnosis for more than 50 years, I understand how this can happen. I was fortunate to have a Christian doctor and a Christian psychiatrist who looked at all treatment options and recognized that I simply needed a small dose of medication to correct a chemical imbalance. As someone who has worked alongside pastors and church leaders in my association, I believe this is a valuable book for them to read and consider. Opening one's eyes to the possibility that Satan can influence both spiritual and physical health may help many people find the healing they desperately need.─Dr. Danny Pickens, DedMin, Pastor/Retired Director of Missions, Smith Baptist Association Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
