OverviewWhat does architecture have to do with health? This fun - damental, yet unusual question is based on the elemen - tary consideration of how built environments can contrib - ute to healing and convalescence. This topic constitutes an area of interdisciplinary research and teaching at the Technical University of Berlin. In this publication, Christine Nickl-Weller, who headed the department of ""Architecture for Health"" until 2017, presents key research findings and primarily also designs for buildings in the health sector. The focus is always on the holistic examination of the variable ""health"" in all ar - eas of life. The concept of ""Healing Architecture"" reflects the courage of thinking innovatively and thus surpassing the conventional perceptions of architecture.
