OverviewWhat Does the Bible Say About Healing? If we are to learn what the Bible says about healing, we need to go on a journey that takes us through several concepts and dimensions. Our English word healing, or heal, can mean several related, but different, things. - verb: (transitive) To make better from a disease, wound, etc.; to revive or cure. - verb: (intransitive) To become better or healthy again. - verb: (transitive, fi gurative) To reconcile, as a breach or difference; to make whole; to free from guilt. - noun: Healing; an instance of restoration of health. It is easiest to remember if we recognize that h*e*a*l are the fi rst four letters of health and healthy. The Hebrew and Greek languages also use several words and defi nitions which we will have to sort out. These are frequently translated differently within several translations of the Bible. God's Will in Healing Let us discover, from the beginning of creation, what Almighty's patterns and practices have been regarding healing, mending & curing, relieving or lifting from.
