Born in Shanghai in the 1990s, Verna moved to London as a child following her parents' divorce. Speaking very little English, Verna used cooking as a means of staying connected to her Chinese heritage following her move to the UK. After teaching her university friends how to whip up quick, delicious Chinese food rather than dialling in a lacklustre takeaway, and travelling all over East Asia expanding her foodie horizons, lockdown gave Verna the opportunity to share her cooking with the world. In just three years, @vernahungrybanana has become the UK's go-to platform for Asian recipe inspiration. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
