It invites you to examine your spiritual callings, your commitments, the challenges of discipleship, and to develop - for yourself - a well-thought-out Spiritual Growth Plan for ""life after Confirmation."" Your sponsor will also get a copy of ""Have Faith"" and will be working on the same things as you. Three times during this preparation process, the two of you will share notes - over the phone, via e-mail, or face to face. Whatever works best for you. ""Have Faith"" helps you develop spiritual sensitivities as you: discover the dominant dimensions of your spiritual life; explore the ways you are responding to your vocational callings; examine the Creed, review how Catholicism is different and unique, and assess your religious knowledge of the Catholic faith; recognize the gifts of Holy Spirit in different situations; and identify the tasks for your ongoing journey of discipleship. ""Have Faith"" is something you do on your own - but not alone. It treats you like an adult, placing the opportunity of spiritual growth and final preparation in your hands - which is probably the way you prefer it to be."

Dr. Michael Carotta has worked with adolescents for over thirty years in educational, pastoral, and clinical settings. He spent eleven years as a classroom teacher, including four years working with at-risk youth at Girls and Boys town and is the former Executive Director of the NCEA Department of Religious Education. He is a well-known national speaker and teaches graduate courses in several Catholic universities.
