Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationHarry Okpik was born in the community of Quaqtaq in 1954. Harry owns a dog team and has participated in numerous Ivakkak dog sled races. He is widely recognized as one of the most dedicated and successful dog team owners in Nunavik. Harry has also acted as one of the longest-serving KRG (Kativik Regional Government) nature officers in Nunavik. In 2015, the documentary film Okpik’s Dream was released which documented Harry's life, racing experience, and his passion for his dog team. Maren Vsetula is a teacher and educational writer. She loves to spend as much time on the land as she can, hiking, fishing, paddling, and dogsledding. She has lived and worked in Nunavut for over a decade. Ali Hinch has been working as a full-time illustrator and designer in educational kids’ literature since getting her degree in illustration from Sheridan College. She’s also dabbled in puppet concepts, set design, storyboarding, and writing for animation. Currently living in Toronto, she spends a lot of time drinking iced tea and making new dog friends.
