Overview

Faced with the growing challenges of the energy transition and environmental protection, smart grids and electric vehicles are emerging as two major technological pillars. Closely interdependent, these technologies are shaping a new energy model in which electric mobility relies on a grid capable of efficiently managing the production, distribution and storage of energy.The integration of electric vehicles into smart grids does, however, give rise to some major challenges. On the one hand, it increases demand on supply resources. These two dimensions have given rise to two fundamental lines of research: Grid-to-Vehicle (G2V) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G). This book is part of this dynamic, offering two major technical contributions.
