OverviewThis project's goal is to create a smart IoT-based lighting and door management system. Many incidents occur in workplaces when electronic devices are left on even when there is no human presence in the area due to negligence and carelessness. This is one of most visible examples of severe electricity wasting. As a result, a smart system that ensures both efficiency and effectiveness is required. This project integrates lot of modern technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Image Processing. Object detection technologies are employed in this system, allowing us to control appliances within a defined spatial zone. It also employs image processing techniques that outperform traditional IR blaster-based home automation systems. Traditional infrared blasters are prone to a fallacy in which any object that obstructs the infrared ray triggers the response that the device was meant to achieve. These actions, which were previously solely available to real people, can now be performed by any object. This has the inevitable effect. This project presents a system that may optimally use lighting output and decrease electricity consumption by managing electrical appliances based on changes in the position of persons in the room, and the system also assures access security as well as ensuring security for authorised human and vehicle entry to doors and gates.
