Happy Landings: A Military Family's Odyssey

Overview

This book is about a large baby boomer family from the unique perspective of father and son. The father's early formation, his trials and training leading to Arial Combat during WWll as a nineteen-year-old Pilot in a B-24 over Germany. It's a story about a man finding something he likes to do and finding he's good at it, not knowing the price to be paid in active and repressed PTSD. The story of a military wife, who has to deal with that dichotomy along with her six little boys and two girls compounded by the disruption of family life from the constant moves. Then comes Vietnam and the lottery for the son.
