Reviews

"Rhyming verses and bouncy rhythm create a playful structure for this sweet celebration of Tu B'Shevat, as three diverse children go through the process of planting a tree together. They dig a hole, plant the tree, pat the ground, water the tree and, after watching the tree change throughout the year, the threesome gets to wish the tree a happy birthday and enjoy its spring blossoms. Cheery, simple, and delightfully readable, this board book will engage the youngest readers in the positive message of Tu B'Shevat. -- Martha McMahon, AJL Newsletter, Sinai Akiba Academy, Los Angeles, CA -- ""Magazine"" (2/5/2021 12:00:00 AM) This lovely book celebrates Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish Arbor Day. A few friends gather round to plant a tree, step by step, and watch it grow and bloom. The story highlights inclusion 'so grab the shovel next to me' and it's funny too, 'Then we'll spray the garden hose, and wet the tree (and soak our clothes).' The vibrant illustrations complement the rhyming text. A perfect story for Tu B'Shevat or any time! -- Melissa Stoller -- ""Blog"" (11/5/2020 12:00:00 AM)"
