This book was written while the author was preparing to undergo major surgery for pancreatic cancer. It is part memoir, part practical guide for cultivating health, wealth, relationships and meaningful occupations in retirement, and part spiritual reflection on Christian teachings about vocation and ageing. While reading books and articles written for prospective retirees, the author noticed that the topic of spirituality was missing from the discussion. This book is intended to address that gap, drawing from the author's own experience of the importance of faith in meeting the challenges of life. By sharing his memoirs, the author wishes to convey the importance of spirituality in living enjoyable and fulfilling retired lives.
