Overview

The Hanuman Chalisa is chanted and sung in every Indian home. It was composed by Goswami Tulsidas, the author of Ramcharitmanas fame, circa 16th century CE. It is a prayer to Strength-Valor-Faith. It is that which brings up and nurtures these qualities. --------- The Hanuman Chalisa is sung in Awadhi Language, connected to Ayodhaya, the land of Lord Ram. The Awadhi Alphabet was written in the Kaithi Script.
