In this book, Hannah reveals her inner Good Samaritan when she shows kindness to a blue banded bee from Malaysia that fell to the ground in front of her. The vivid and expressive illustrations will appeal to children (and their parents). There is even a nod to COVID-19 with airport arrivals and staff wearing masks. As a teacher, I believe that this engaging and entertaining book, together with its predecessor, would make a great addition to any home or school library catering for children under 10. - Lani Grace; Lani Grace is a former school teacher who currently tutors in Maths and English and writes children's books. In addition to the ongoing Perry and Perky series for younger children, she has written a fairy tale for older children titled Magic? Who Needs It! - a modern fairy tale.;This book was such a delight! With its bright, brilliant illustrations, 'Hannah the Honeybee and The Surprising Adventure' teaches children the important values of acceptance, friendship and diversity. It gives young readers an insight into the world beyond their circle and to embrace differences. I believe we need to start teaching our children strong values from a tender age and the author, Lyn Rose, was able to deliver the message in a simple yet incredibly powerful way. As a parent to 2 kids, this is certainly a book I highly recommend.;I have to say that I've also learnt some new facts myself! Love the part on the snippets of interesting facts about the Australian Blue-Banded Bees. Can't wait for more books by this author. - Sharmaine SD; Sharmaine is a Sales Director in Singapore; Reens; 5.0 out of 5 stars Such a lovely book and message; Reviewed in the United States on 27 June 2021; Verified Purchase; I really enjoyed the first Hannah the Honeybee book and this one is even better! I love that it talks about the issue of race and introduces the Malaysian language as well. Hannah and her friends are very kind and accepting to Bunga, a bee who accidentally got trapped and boarded a plane from Malaysia to Australia. It's such a great story full of adventure and a lesson in acceptance. Highly recommended.; Shows Family; 5.0 out of 5 stars Cute bee book; Reviewed in the United States on 27 June 2021; Verified Purchase; This is a cute story about a bee who gets separated from her kind of bees. I liked the bee facts at the end. The artwork was really cute.
