My son Leon is at the age where he has 'tablet fever' and it is hard to get him to understand that everything in life is not on the computer and that handwriting is still important. I gave this book a chance out of the tons out there as he loves dragons and YAY, it did the trick! This book, with it's silly jokes and engaging pages that sparks imagination, along with lots of silly jokes (which he keeps telling anyone who will listen, for better or for worse, lol) he is not so grumbly about working on his penmanship as before. For the price I highly recommend it and have already ordered other books from the same publisher. As soon as I showed her the book her eyes lit up with excitement, she likes the dragon characters and says they are funny. The letters and numbers tracing pages are clear and easy for my granddaughter to understand. The words and jokes are well thought out for kids. Also, there's a section for kids to use their imagination and tell a story based on examples from the dragon characters in the book. It's very clever.
