Author Information

Darrel Nerove has worked in the IT field for over 20 years in multiple areas of IT, including networking, internetworking, programming, and security. He was the Network Control Manager at the Pentagon and has been a Network Engineer and Systems Engineer on many Microsoft Server 2003 and Microsoft Server 2008 deployments in support of government and Department of Defense contracts. Additionally, Darrel teaches IT courses at the college and university level in the Northern Virginia area and online. In addition to teaching IT courses, Darrel is the Associate Dean for Information Systems at Strayer University and has been responsible for the networking, internetworking, and security curriculum within the university. Greg Tomsho is director of the Computer Networking Technology Department and Cisco Academy at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. He has earned the CCNA, MCTS, MCSA, A+, Security+ and Linux+ certifications. A former software engineer, technical support manager and IT director, he has more than 30 years of computer and networking experience.
