He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Temple University and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He was a post-doctoral fellow at T.U. Clausthal and Uni Freiburg, both in Germany. His technical career included employment with Hoechst AG and Pall Corporation. Dr. Goozner won numerous Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants in the fields of solar energy and waste disposal, and holds several patents in his own right. His subsequent career was spent practicing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Dr. Goozner has lectured extensively in the field of intellectual property.
