Author Information

William O’Donohue, PhD is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno.  He is a licensed psychologist in Nevada and Director of the Victims of Crime Treatment Center that provides free treatment to child and adult victims of sexual assault.  He has published over 80 books and 300 journal articles and chapters.  Paul Schewe, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice in the College of LAS at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has served as the director of UIC’s Interdisciplinary Center for Research on Violence. He is a clinical/community psychologist whose work ranges from basic research identifying factors associated with the perpetration of interpersonal violence, to developing preventive interventions, to using evaluation and dissemination strategies to further develop existing violence prevention programs for agencies, communities, and statewide networks of service providers. The focus of his research includes sexual assault, teen dating violence, domestic violence, and early childhood interventions to promote positive social-emotional development.
