Fujii Hideto is Professor of Tourism and Transport in the School of Commerce, Meiji University, Japan, and Dean of the Graduate School of Commerce. He is the author of Gendai kōtsū ron no keifu to kōzō [Modern transport studies from a historical and structural perspective] (Zeimu Keiri Kyōkai, 2012) and Gendai no kankō jigyō ron [Modern tourism] (Zeimu Keiri Kyōkai, 2014). Recently, he has taken an interest in transport and its related infrastructure as tourism resources for heritage tourism. Prior to entering academia, he had experience working in the Japanese tourism industry.
