Handbook of Fungal Infections

Overview

Fungal infections span superficial conditions to life-threatening invasive disease, especially in immunocompromised hosts. This handbook provides a practical overview of mycology, clinical syndromes, diagnostic methods and antifungal therapy principles. Concise pathogen profiles, treatment tables and dosing guidance aid rapid clinical decision-making. Sections on laboratory interpretation, resistance patterns and infection control measures help clinicians avoid common pitfalls. Case summaries and bedside tips prioritize actionable information for busy practitioners. The book targets internists, infectious disease specialists, microbiologists and frontline clinicians.
