Recognizing that the value of pharmacists extends beyond clinical interventions to include cost-effective healthcare solutions and compassionate, patient-centered care, this new series of handbooks aims to fill this gap by showcasing the expanded roles and responsibilities of pharmacists. It will be first of its kind to provide comprehensive information about evidence-based pharmacist care, providing the latest research, guidelines, and up-to-date best practices. This handbook series is unique in that each volume covers a specific topic, such as infectious diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and cardiovascular diseases (to name just three areas) and will explore the impact of pharmacist care on patients in clinical settings, consider the economics and humanistic outcomes, as well as discuss the challenges and present helpful advice for implementing effective pharmacist care. The volumes will also delve into the implications, methods, and challenges of providing online and distance pharmacist care services for the specific diseases and conditions as well.
