Overview

Since the Handbook of Counselling was first published, counselling has undergone a period of rapid growth and change. This, the second edition, has been revised and thoroughly updated with the addition of six new chapters, making it a comprehensive and up-to-the-minute guide to counselling theory and practice. The contributors, all experienced practitioners, reflect the diversity and also the coherence of counselling today. They examine the principles of counselling, the issues affecting practice and consider how the profession is likely to develop in the future.
