Overview

Halxeywa (Torchlighting) describes the traditional Stolo practice of nighttime fishing using a fire built in a canoe. The story is told fluently in the Halq'emeylem language (a.k.a. Upriver Halkomelem), by one of the last remaining native speakers of the language.
