The author of numerous memoirs and occasional fiction, Susan Newark is retired from teaching college English and currently owns a media retail store and a publishing company. She lives in the secluded Klamath Mountains with organic gardens and a bird sanctuary and is currently writing a series of photo-illustrated hiking journals, a book about life in the country, and several works of fiction.
