The In Focus series are useful 'trigger texts' i.e. they give enough information so that you want to read further or continue your learning on the internet. The colours have been used nicely, with realistic print colours of patients, instruments and slides. The set out of the books are ideal with good, quick refernce contents, making the series ideal for students in Clinics and/or ward rounds.
Medical Student, UK, January 2005
What I like most about about these books are the excellent colour clinical photographs that make up half the pages. The pictures are nicely complimented by concise explanations of some of the normal physiology, common pathology and investigation and treatment techniques as depicted in the photos, written with easy to follow and engaging language. The questions and answers sections at the back are good for a quick test of knowledge.
Medical Student, MAD Magazine, the official journal of Barts and The London Students' Association
