Prior to sending it off to him I read the book which was roughly 130 pages and took me about two hours. It was an enjoyable read and something you'll likely bookmark and come back to often. The book is by a musician named Tad Sisler who has decades of experience in the industry and throughout the book Tad shares quotes, pictures, and anecdotes of working with famous guitarists and musicians. Tad writes succinctly and many sections are bulleted which makes it easy to read and absorb key concepts. The book is best for someone early in their guitar playing journey and all of the core concepts are covered in addition to referencing other resources to consider. The book covers concepts including: types of guitars, equipment and effects, accessories (picks, strings, straps, stands), guitar anatomy, guitar care and tuning, setting and achieving guitar mastery goals, techniques when performing, playing cords, reading tablature (tabs), rhythm and time signatures, developing timing and coordination, and how to build a career as a guitarists.
