Overview

Learning of laparoscopic surgery is a continuous process. This highly technology depended surgery. Learning curve is very long. Continuous upgradation of knowledge and skill is required. For which, laparoscopic dry lab/ skill lab is an essential tool. Laparoscopic dry lab/ skill lab was established in Bagerhat District Hospital few years ago. To reduce the expense of laparoscopic simulator, we have invented our own laparoscopic simulator (Zaman's laparoscopic simulator) in a cost effective way. For effective practice, training and exercise, a guideline manual is also essential. We have been working long for the development of this guideline. We have a plan for expanding laparoscopic surgery at district level hospitals in our country. For which, there is no alternative to effective training and practice. In such goal, laparoscopic surgery unit, laparoscopic electronic archive, specimen house, skill lab, simulator and published guideline can be considered as milestone of success.
