The commentary manages to be both informative and conversational, making it just as good a meander in an armchair as on the streets. * THE GOOD BOOK GUIDE *

The definitive guide to London's architecture - INDEPENDENT Scholarly, informative and oftten slyly funny, as well as being more user-friendly than the bulky volumes of Pevsner. I can't reccommend it highly enough - DAILY TELEGRAPH
