Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBorn in 1923, Kenneth Macksey was commissioned into the Royal Armoured Corps during the Second World War, going on to serve under Percy Hobart he later wrote an authoritative biography of that leader. Having been promoted Major in 1957, Macksey retired from the Army in 1968, having been awarded the Military Cross in December 1944. Macksey has enjoyed a long and successful career as a historian and author specialising in military history and military biographies. He passed away in November 2005.
