OverviewGuardians of Equilibrium follows a few years in the personal and work lives of Mitchell and TK, best friends who are employed as engineers at a large bureaucratic corporation that manufactures and operates time machines. Their new project expands the reach of what's technologically possible as well as their understanding of society, destiny, and themselves. Rick has worked in the IT industry across many different market segments and company types and many different job roles including software engineer, project manager, and enterprise architect. While always a fan of both science and science fiction, the time travel genre has always seemed far fetched. While other genres try to make themselves somewhat plausible, time travel required more of a leap of faith than did others. Slowly small ideas started to grow into a story about a regular person who worked with this amazing technology, struggling with everyday life while hunched over a keyboard debugging the software that controls the machines which alter reality itself. What might it be like to be that person, and how might the perspectives gained from 40 years working in our own world's IT translate into that futuristic job role? Guardians of Equilibrium is the result of that thought experiment.
