His research focuses on Paraguayan Guarani (especially the contact between Guarani and Spanish) and on the syntax of Argentinian Spanish. JUSTIN PINTA is a doctoral student in Hispanic Linguistics at The Ohio State University. His primary linguistic interests concern loanword adaptation and language contact generally between Spanish and various languages in the Americas. He holds an MA in Linguistics from UNC-Chapel Hill.
