Grown-ups: A Child’s Guide

Overview

If your grown-ups are a bit distracted, busy, hard to understand maybe it’s because of that pesky flat pack furniture, the chaotic kitchen with babies and animals everywhere or perhaps the garden is overgrown or their work is manic, perhaps they need time to get fit or to relax. This quirky, fun picture book, which is about your family whether you have one mum, one dad, one of each or two of either or maybe an auntie or grandparents, is a weird guide to help you understand your grown-ups. There are lots of incongruous things in all the pictures and even some to colour in yourself. The grown-ups in this book need lots of help which they seem to get from the busy ants and the eight-armed octopus that find their way into the pictures. Whilst the target audience is younger children this book could be appreciated by all ages and even those harassed and catastrophe-prone adults. Older children who don’t like reading might come to love books through the illustrations and the many ideas and talking points encapsulated in them.
