Reviews

This is a much needed resource, and I expect it to be well recieved by grape industry professionals and academics alike. This book covers all of the major areas of growing grapes, which makes it stand out among other viticulture texts, as most skip over at least one component of production. Readers will likely find this [book] to be useful. This book provides sound, practical information that may be used to address the needs of new and existing vineyard operators in the state of Texas, and elsewhere in the Southern US. --Justin Scheiner, Professor of Viticulture and Enology , Grayson College

I enjoyed reading The Art and Science of Growing Grapes in Texas by Dr. Jim Kamas. It is designed for the edcated beginner and I think it 'hit the mark.' Dr. Kamas' book will help the individuals who have the required background to be successful in farming and will arm those that need consultants with enough knowledge to ask the right questions and judge the quality of the consultant's advice. --Andrew Walker Professor, Louis P. Martini Endowed Chair in Viticulture, Chair, Horticulture and Agronomy Graduate Group This is a much needed resource, and I expect it to be well recieved by grape industry professionals and academics alike.
