Author Information

Ed Jacobs is the founder of Impact Therapy and has served as a counseling professor at West Virginia University for more than 45 years. Christine J. Schimmel is an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Learning Sciences at West Virginia University who teaches counseling techniques, group counseling, and counseling children and adolescents. She is a licensed professional counselor in West Virginia with more than 20 years of clinical and teaching experience. A former school counselor, she focuses her energies working with and training pre-service school counselors. Bob Masson is professor emeritus at West Virginia University and has over 30 years of experience teaching courses in counseling. Riley Harvill is co-founder of The HarBeck Company, Inc., a leadership and human resources training and consulting firm, and has served as an associate professor of counseling education at the University of North Texas.
